Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location.  It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement.  As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

What you’ll be doing
As a Project Accountant supporting the UK & International Naval programmes, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering accurate financial insights, management and statutory reporting that drives informed decision-making. Your work will directly influence programme performance by connecting financial data with operational realities, helping to forecast risks and opportunities effectively. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, you’ll translate complex numbers into clear, actionable stories that support business goals.

In this role you’ll be:

  • Preparing and posting management journals to ensure accurate reflection of financial performance

  • Maintaining a strong financial controls environment, which includes reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensuring compliance with Group policies

  • Analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and operational drivers

  • Partnering with the programme management team to provide timely financial insights and support forecasting

  • Delivering end to end statutory reporting, including taking ownership of external audit queries

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience in project accounting and financial analysis, ideally within a large or complex organisation

  • Strong ERP skills (ideally in SAP) and advanced Excel capabilities, with the ability to build insightful workbooks that go beyond basic formulas

  • Ability to explain numbers through operational context and partner effectively with stakeholders

  • Experience in statutory reporting and supporting external audit queries

  • Proactive mindset with excellent prioritisation and self-management skills to meet deadlines
